Pound for Pound Den Haag is an affiliation from Pound for Pound team, with headquarters in Munich, Germany - @poundforpoundmunich. Founded by Sergio "Canudo" Zimmermann, P4P counts with 30+ gyms in Europe, located in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Bosnia, and now in The Netherlands.

Meet Our Instructors

Marcelo Azevedo - Black Belt
​Founder and head coach of P4P Den Haag, he started BJJ in Alliance-Brazil and moved to the Netherlands after receiving his blue belt in 2016. Marcelo has studied adult education and is teaching BJJ since he got his purple belt in 2021.  He has previously taught other martial arts and chemical engineering. Marcelo won the 2024 Euros in the Master division (purple belt) and took silver as a brown belt in the 2025 Euros.  Marcelo got his Black Belt from 6th degree Black Belt @canudobjj and from grand master @carlsongracie in February 2026.


Meet Our Instructors

Elias Melquiades - Black belt 2nd degree

Elias is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, whose journey began in 2012 training under Rodrigo Ribeiro at G13BJJ São Paulo, Brazil. A strong passion for instruction developed early in his career, leading him to co-found G13BJJ São Miguel and take on teaching roles in São Paulo. In recent years, he has contributed his expertise as a BJJ coach in the Armed Forces in the United Arab Emirates. Now in The Hague, Elias is excited to be part of Pound for Pound Den Haag, dedicated to helping students unlock the full range of benefits that Jiu-Jitsu provides.
