TermsArticle I – Applicability These conditions apply if the participant has registered with P4P Den Haag to follow BJJ training and/or another program, or participates in a fitness test or other activities from this offer. Article II - Registration, enrollment a. Registration takes place by registering at the location of P4P Den Haag. b. The start of the lodging partnership and payment starts on the start date indicated by the member upon registration. c. After registration, the amount from the start date up to and including the first of that month plus the amount for the coming calendar month will be automatically collected at the end of the month. d. A membership is strictly personal. e. An intake form must be completed in full and truthfully and signed and handed in. f. based on the contents of the health declaration on the registration form, a participant may be advised not to participate in BJJ or other activities. And the participant may be refused without a given reason. Article III - Membership, term, rates, cancellation and payment conditions a. A membership can be started at any time. b. After registering for a subscription, the membership will continue for an indefinite period until cancellation. With the exception of drop-in. c. After the trial period, the membership will be extended per calendar month (unless the member requests a new period renovation) by direct debit and a cancellation period of one calendar month applies until cancellation. The cancellation must be done before the first of the month by filling in a cancellation form at the location itself. d. Memberships are entered into from the first day of the month. Because you can start on any day, a remaining amount will be calculated depending on the start date in proportion to the number of days remaining in the month. This remaining amount plus the amount of the first calendar month will be collected by direct debit by P4P Den Haag. e. The member cannot claim a refund of membership fees. f. After that, the membership will be automatically extended monthly until cancellation with a notice period of one calendar month. g. In case of cancellation, the membership will continue until the end of the current month plus the following calendar month. During this cancellation month, training can still be done up to and including the 31st of that month. h. A cancellation must be made at P4P Den Haag by means of a cancellation form intended for that purpose. A cancellation must be completed in full and signed by the member and an employee of P4P Den Haag. i. The payment of the monthly subscription fee is collected at the end of each month and always applies to the following month. j. If the monthly amount due is not received on time due to a cancellation or other cause, the collection will be offered again free of charge at the next collection attempt. If the amount due cannot be written off then, a reminder will be sent for which an additional 10,00 EUR will be charged. k. If amounts due are not paid on time, the commitment to the training courses at P4P Den Haag may be denied until the entire amount due has been paid. l. If there are still amounts due upon termination of the membership, the membership can only be terminated after payment of all outstanding amounts. m. P4P Den Haag reserves the right to index rates on the 1st of January of each year. Members will be informed of this at least 3 months before the price change takes effect. n. P4P Den Haag reserves the right to refuse access to P4P Den Haag if a member does not comply with the then applicable house rules. In the event of termination of membership by one of the employees of P4P Den Haag, outstanding membership fees are recoverable. o. If the subscription fee cannot be collected, a fine of 5,00 EUR may be charged. This amount applies per failed collection. Article IV – Illness / injury In case of illness or injury or other injury that makes participation in the training no longer possible, membership can be temporarily stopped with a minimum of 1 month after permission from P4P Den Haag. Stopping can never be done retroactively. Article V – Opening hours P4P reserves the right to change the opening hours. On official and recognized holidays, P4P Den Haag is entitled to adjust the training times or to close the location. P4P Den Haag reserves the right to adjust the opening hours due to maintenance work/renovations. If this closure is less than 24 hours, the member is not entitled to a refund of paid membership fees. Article VI – Program, risk/liability a. P4P Den Haag is obliged to guide the participant(s) as well as possible during the times that the training is given, given the purpose of the training program. Some programs have intensive elements and can in some cases be close to taxing limits. In addition to the advice of the coaches, participants should be aware of this themselves. Participation in group programs is entirely at your own risk. P4P Den Haag is not liable for injuries or other damage that participants may sustain during or as a result of a training. b. P4P Den Haag is not liable if, during a training or other activity, for whatever reason, items belonging to the participant and/or third parties are lost in any way. P4P is not liable if the participant suffers damage in any other way and this damage is due to the intake form and signed health declaration not being completed completely or incorrectly. P4P is liable if the damage referred to above is the result of intent or gross negligence. Article VII – House rules / general terms and conditions The member is expected to be aware of the applicable house rules of P4P Den Haag. The house rules can be found on the website of www.bjjexcellence.nl a. Dutch law applies to these terms and all agreements of P4P Den Haag. b. By registering with P4P Den Haag, the member declares that he/she agrees with the content and scope of the terms and conditions and the house rules. Article VIII - WE at Pound for Pound Den Haag take pictures and videos during training to be used as promotion for the school in our social medias. If you don't want your image to be published, please send us an email and also communicate with the teachers when in training.

BJJ FUNDAMENTALS

Special BJJ for beginners.

Here, as a complete beginner with no prior knowledge, you will develop your basic understanding and learn the most important fundamentals, principles, movements, and techniques that you will need for the rest of your time on the mat.

BJJ ESSENTIAL

BJJ for beginners with a few months of experience. Once you've received your first grade (first stripe on the white belt), you'll be ready to take the next step and build on what you've already learned and delve deeper into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The intensity of your training will also be increased.

BJJ INTERMEDIATE

From the blue belt onwards, you have the necessary basic knowledge of positions and techniques, understand connections, and begin to use what you have learned strategically and build your own individual game from it.

HOUSE RULES

DRESSING

Only IBJJF color Gis are allowed in training: white, black or blue.
The use of rash guard is mandatory under the Gi, we suggest wearing long sleeve.
For No-Gi training, the use of No-Gi material is mandatory: shorts without pockets nor zippers and a lycra rash guard. Cotton shirts and shorts with pockets will not be allowed.
For No-Gi trainings, members must use their BJJ belt with their current rank.
Use training material in good condition. Gis with tears or bad odour will not be allowed.
No shoes on the mats, always wear shoes outside the mats.

HYGIENE

Wash your training material after every training.
Check your nails when dressing for training, clip your nails if needed and keep them short.
Jiu jitsu is a close contact sport. If needed, shower before training.
Inspect your body before training, do not train in case you have a skin infection. The most common areas are wrists, ankles and neck.

BEHAVIOUR

Please let the teachers deliver the instructions during class. As a member, your objective is to learn, ask questions and to train. If a teacher needs assistance, they will ask for it.
Be kind and nice to everyone, specially with guests visiting the gym.
If you want a hard sparring round with a training partner, make sure you communicate and both agree upon that prior to the round start.
Salute everyone once you enter the mat and before you leave it.
Once you finish a class you can stay on the mats as long as you want. Please don’t disturb the next class. If you are doing 2 classes in sequence, the 2^nd class warm up is optional.
TAP WHEN NEEDED, DON’T TRY TO BE A HERO. Got in a bad situation? Tap and restart. It is another chance to learn and improve. Protect your body and avoid injuries so you can keep training. Remember: frequency is key.
GIVE YOUR TRAINING PARTNER TIME TO TAP. Just like you, the majority of the members have a profession and a family to support. There is no good side in injuring someone else. Protect your training partners, you need them for your own training and improvement.

CLEAN GYM POLICY

All lost/found items will be collected into a basket inside the Admin room. If you want to retrieve it, ask the P4P staff.
On the 1^st day of each month the basket will be emptied and items not retrieved will be disposed.

PREVENTING SKIN INFECTIONS

When you train BJJ or grappling (No-Gi), it is normal that micro cuts happen in your elbows and knees from the landing on the floor and therefore invisible micro bleedings happen. In order to prevent skin infections, you should shower as soon as you finish training and wash your training clothes as soon as you arrive home (Gi at 30 degrees, No-Gi material at 50 or 60 degrees).

Do not leave sweaty clothes in your bag to the next day. Bacteria will grow on your sweat, skin cells and the micro bleeding areas and make your training gear dirty and with a bad odor even after washing it.

We at P4P disinfect the mats after every training session with a specific biocide for BJJ mats.

Please communicate the P4P staff in case you noticed you have a skin infection and consult your medic to start the treatment as soon as possible.

The 3 most common skin infections are: RING WORM, STAPHYLOCOCCUS, IMPETIGO

SKIN INFECTIONS CAN BE PREVENTED WITH GOOD HYGIENE HABITS AND FREQUENTLY DISINFECTED MATS
